They are at home this Saturday with a 12-00 start at Riverway against Rode Park and Lawton. 2nd XI The seconds managed to dodge the showers and pick up a maximum 25 point win at home to a weakened Hem Heath side. 1st XI After two consecutive defeats Stafford stopped the rot on Saturday by securing a draw at home to Caverswall. A result which leaves them in mid table of the North Staffs and South Cheshire Division two. Caverswall batted first and were all out for 210 with Jake Edge hitting 71. Professional Aparajit Singh 3-76 and Guy Seaton 4-39 were among the wickets and there was also three run outs. 1st XI Stafford fell to a five wicket defeat on their trip to Cheshire this Sunday when the home side dismissed them for 149. Paul Newnes with 6-32 inflicted the damage as opener Joe Askey top scored for Stafford with 49. This didn’t seem enough and home skipper Oliver Sadler with 52 steered his side to victory in 48 overs despite professional Aparajit Singh’s 3-49. Barmy Army Charity Match

Stafford CC hosted their annual Barmy Army Charity Game last Friday in aid of Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. It was the 10th Anniversary game this year between Stafford CC’s Barmy Army Tourists and The Rest of England’s Barmy Army. The Stafford CC Tourists won by 2 wickets this year after restricting the visitors to 150. They have levelled up the scores now as the scores in the series stands at 5-5.
